Alaska and Prince Rupert had a fantastic salmon season…kicking off early and rolling into August. The BC Central Coast was hit and miss with a nasty mid-summer plankton bloom to mess things up. Chinook action was super strong on Vancouver Island through the season, with some big hawgs getting caught on North Island and all the way down Inside to Sandheads off Van City!
Washington and Oregon had strong seasons Southbound…and Cali returns on Sacramento were best in years!
The Godzilla El Niño still hasn’t kicked in Northern latitudes and Albacore Tuna season was a challenge with long runs and challenging water. Look for warm water pushing North through Fall and bringing a few “exotics” along for the ride.
